Super cheap with good sound and playability
It's a wow, wow, wow for the price, and far exceeds my expectations at that price point. I still can't believe it is possible. My other mandolins are a 1906 Gibson A, and a 1918 Ditson. The Gibson is far too valuable and fragile to play out, and the Ditson is too fragile as well. I bought the Rogue as a beater for porch picking, camping, and travel. It played beautifully right out of the box with just tuning. The setup was spot on, which I never expected. It sounds good enough to be enjoyable and looks great for a super cheap mandolin. It will never be confused for a great instrument, but it'll do the job well enough, and sound good enough. If it gets run over by a truck, I buy another.
