I bought this because we're part year residents in AZ where the humidity is low and every time I install new ink cartridges in my ink jet printer, 2/3 of it dries up! Decided on laser based on that. Printer is large but everything else about it is fantastic. Responsive, easy set up, good price, good print quality, good software, lightweight. Glad I got this Brother to replace my HP deskjet
I only used it once so far, but it has toner in it and printed faster than the lousy HP desk jet variant it replaced. I was worried it would be a battle setting it up since I have an HP laptop, but no; it sorted itself out before I could even get my blood pressure up. This was a floor model so a couple of minor cosmetic blemishes but in great shape and packaged really well for shipping. Print quality is fine; I'm not doing artwork. My First Laser Printer a Welcome Improvement Over Inkjets
I was fed up dealing with my 4 year-old HP Envy failing to print and producing an error message telling me to change the cartridge and then upon inserting a new, OEM HP-61xl replacement still would not recognize the cartridge as new so I stepped up to laser. After reading numerous tech reviews of modest-priced lasers, I zeroed in on the Brother 2395 black-only since I never used the color on my Envy unless I printed hyperlinks. The footprint is about the same as the Envy, only much higher, It's much faster than the Envy, hasn't suffered any paper jams yet, and is relatively quiet. The only drawback I've experienced after several weeks of what I consider to be light use, is occasionally needing to reboot my router mostly after the printer has sat unused for several days. HL-L2395dw Brother Laser Printer is perfect for most home or small office needs.
My inkjet finally died and I needed a replacement and wanted to move away from high priced ink cartridges. After some research I decided on this printer since it combined all the features I wanted and needed. Relatively low cost to buy and print, full duplex ( prints on both sides automatically) , fairly small, fast, and I could also print from my Apple devices using Air print.
