My First Laser Printer a Welcome Improvement Over Inkjets
I was fed up dealing with my 4 year-old HP Envy failing to print and producing an error message telling me to change the cartridge and then upon inserting a new, OEM HP-61xl replacement still would not recognize the cartridge as new so I stepped up to laser.
After reading numerous tech reviews of modest-priced lasers, I zeroed in on the Brother 2395 black-only since I never used the color on my Envy unless I printed hyperlinks. The footprint is about the same as the Envy, only much higher, It's much faster than the Envy, hasn't suffered any paper jams yet, and is relatively quiet. The only drawback I've experienced after several weeks of what I consider to be light use, is occasionally needing to reboot my router mostly after the printer has sat unused for several days.
CNET gave the HL-L2395DW an excellent review, and I recommend their review be consulted for additional information.
