Small and Quiet
The filter also has carbon filter to "polish" the water.This was not mentioned in the description so was a bonus when I found it. My only worry is the suction cups and if they will survive the pulling from the glass each time the filter is cleaned. My previous experience is that they harden in the water. Noisy and not as powerful as expected
Noisy and not as powerful as the filter it replaced. When we put it in the water flow barely broke the surface of the water - which is the whole point in order to aerate the aquarium! After some installation messing around it did finally “just” break the surface of the water but it isn’t really powerful enough and will require constant cleaning to ensure the flow rate doesn’t slow down and stop aerating the water. Filter that is Insulated properly.
So far no electric shock when putting hands in tank like some others it appears to be properly insulated also the fish are reacting differently they have calmed down. dont buy fish killer

Sorry but I would not recommend this filter.
Pro (small enough for a 15/20 gallon aquarium and it’s versatile on positioning which could go upright or sideways) Cons (it’s extremely loud and vibrates/resonates more then my 2000lph rated external canister filter) I do not recommend this filter to anyone who has its tank placed near the bedroom or any quiet area.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
