This product was highly functional for being preowned, and both met and exceeded my expectations. The outer shell displayed no cosmetic damage, with only minimal scoring on the lower touchscreen (likely due to heavy use with a stylus). The buttons respond well, though the d-pad was a little loose upon arrival (still functions well). I have not seen any issues with the software of the device, as all the features work as to be expected (game reader, eShop, camera, advanced 3d rendering). It's worthy of note that the stylus that came with the device was heavily scored and visually unappealing, but still perfectly functional and stayed within the case. The charger works as you would expect, though I have not tested how well it works in comparison to another charger I happened to have. The case was exactly how it was listed, though there was some minor debris inside the case and faint stains on the outside. However, I was able to remove these with a single wash using dish soap and a brush for the outside. Overall, this order was well worth the cost, and I have nothing but respect for the seller. When product arrived it worked for a few minutes before the bottom screen started developing colorful lines. After the lines appeared the whole device froze and would not work. After forcefully shutting it off by holding the power button the device would turn back on without the two screens turning back on. After taking it to a local repair place the bottom LED screen needed to be replaced which fixed the device and allowed it to start working like normally. Nowhere on the page did it specify the device was broken or had other issues with it. It only worked again after needing to have parts replaced.

Item was in great condition no visible wear. System seems to work with no issues and all games played on device work with no apparent problems. The 3D effect works great especially with the "Super Stable 3D" feature (its a little off if you have glasses but still much better than original 3DS). Very satisfied with purchase great buy

I am a huge fan of the New Nintendo 3DS. However one thing to note about refurbished versions, is the hinges aren't quite as solid as the models initially sold by Nintendo. So be cautious in how you open the system. I'm not sure why this is, but it is so. I'm not even sure if this is an issue with Nintendo's refurbishing or Gamestop, or both. Or if anyone else refurbished. Just a heads up as most systems in good condition are refurbs, and almost all original sales are likely to have surface damage. Solid buttons, great d-pad, this particular unit is in pristine condition externally, which is really hard to find as the exterior rubs off rather easily, requiring a shell (not possible with certain 2DS systems, unfortunately). The 3D stability feature turns it from a gimmick element to a real asset. It's actually enjoyable, especially as it keeps it stable if the system moves about a bit. Something the original did not do. One thing to note about the N3DS as well. Battery life is superior to the N2DS. This is due to screens being far brighter in their base settings on the N2DS. Also bulkier in general (though that hinge on the refurbs...not sure what they were thinking with that). The analog stick is from a N2DS, not the original N3DS, and that's a very good thing (I imagine this was common in later refurbishing due to supply and form factor being the same). Which makes it a smoother, longer lasting experience with a nice velvety feel that doesn't seem to wear out with excessive use. Aside from that...yeah, I love the games, as the library has a ton of gems. It natively plays all DS games (best done holding Start/Select when loading as the stretched image has a filter that is just ugly), and it natively plays GBA games (so also GBC and GB), as it has an on board chip. Also the N3DS (and N2DS), are more powerful systems, and a few games take advantage of this.Read full review

this is probably the best handheld device out there , it is by far a better product than the switch and the 3d element is my main and favorite thing , if the switch had the same or better feature then well, but Rhythm Heaven megamix is my favorite title and you cant go wrong with all of the triple a titles either , there are literally about 2500 games available for it and if you know how and what your doing you can modd it to use cfw and you know the rest !! wink smile, some of these units when you buy them have slight wobble on the screens as your playing and some of the newer models , (the purple burst is) have nice tight screens , also some of them come with tn screens and some with idp I think they are both great so whatever , lol
