If you like adventuring then skyrim is one of the best.Completed twice and still playing and enjoying it .The storyis really good plus the adventure is huge.Ill be playing this game untill the next one in the series comes along.Cant wait for more great gameplay.
These modern games are extremely hard to learn and play. They look wonderful and are clearly well designed and presented but the complexity of the character's options and choices and menus and the incessant fight scenes make it an overwhelming experience for someone not versed in the gameplay. Reading reviews made me think this type of game would be manageable but unfortunately it was stressful and disappointing. This is not a reflection on Skyrim which is probably fantastic.
My partner was unsure of the game as he had found the other games released prior to this one a bit slow.
The graphics are amazing and he has spent time playing the game.
Leave him alone and he'll play for hours.
On PS4 Pro this older Open World Classic still looks wonderful e.g. on Samsung Q9FN TV, and the default controls are the same as they would be on an Xbox or PC.
Haven't tried it with vanilla PS4 or 1080i TV but it would probably be much the same.
Vs. PC the only downside is that when entering/leaving buildings etc. the in-game loading takes a bit longer.
Good luck with the family when they don't want to watch you playing it for hours!
Like most other Bethesda games, Skyrim is massive, well written, and immersive. Their world-building in Skyrim is truly second to none, all of the characters seem so real with understandable motivations and conflicts. There are even more that 100,000 words of literature written in the various books you can find throughout the world.
