    Nice extender for the price.

I have seen many reviews good and bad. I would stick to the good side of the reviews. If you know what your doing or know someone that does the Set up is super easy plug it in follow the directions using the WPS buttons you are good to go. The product itself is ok looking but it is a little bulky over all. Over all it did the job I needed by extending the wifi in my house.

  • Most critical review

Is it really a "Range Extender?"

Do some research - a "Range Extender" and a Repeater" are two different animals; by definition, a Repeater receives and sends on the same channel - a Range Extender uses different channels, The DAP-1330 I received would not let me set different channels, either because it was faulty, or BECAUSE IT ISN'T a Range Extender. The instructions, printed in six-point type, weren't very clear on setting the second channel, so I cannot be certain whether that was a bad unit, or claimed to be something it isn't. But I wouldn't recommend it. I expected better from D-Link.

  • What a game changer!

First off let me say that I was very sceptical that for only $8.00 bucks would it help some if any but after using the button (WAP) on my Motorola router and paired it with the D- Link following the directions exactly the pairing went flawless and that point moved D-Link from office plugged into outlet in the den which had very little WiFi strength do to the distance from the office and let me say my $8.00 investment to me is worth 10 times that as that's what Xfinity wanted just to come out and do a systems check which from review's I've read it more than likely would have been much more than the initial 80 bucks service call so in closing this review let me say if you need to increase you're WiFi signal strength don't hesitate to make such a small investment to gain so much more wish I had not been so skeptical sometimes you just got to bite the bullet and roll with the punches and take a $8.00 chance you'll be glad you did.

  • Easy to set up !!

Well made, and easy to set up !! Plug it in between your Modem and your TV, locate the WPS button on your Modem, press that it flashes looking for a connection, Press the Button on the front of the D-Link, and in about 3 seconds they pair, in about a minute, you'll get an LED Ladder on the front of D-Link, 3 bars shows a solid connect. Turn on your TV and check your Wi-Fi signal. I got an "Excellent" on the furthest TV from my modem. And it's been consistent since then. Thanks !!

  • I wanted this as an access point to a co...

I wanted this as an access point to a corner of the house not reached by WiFi from the router (the house is wired for gigabit Ethernet). It does the job nicely, creating a new network with the built-in default SSID and passcode. Changing the SSID and passcode did not take from the setup wizard, but it was easy enough to find the settings and change them. Speed to the Internet is 75 Mbit/s, which is about all I could expect from a 100 Mbit/s connection to the house. The device looks good, arr

  • Should clarify that this is a Single Band 2.4 GHz Extender, no 5GHz.

Easy to set up with the iPhone app. Gets reasonable extension of 2.4 GHz WiFi signal.

  • Extend of WiFi

Good for just a bit more range on existing WiFi. Using an extension cord and placing up high allows for better range extension than just plugging into wall socket, which is typically towards the floor. Good for the minimal price, simple to setup.

  • It Works !!!!!

It was easy to set up by watching a 5 minute youtube video to make sure i knew what to expect. Basically you mash the WPS button on your router mash the button on the extender until it flashes orange click on the wifi on your computer and click d-link enter password on back of extender it will turn to green lights then it will ask for password again but this time its the password to your router and then you are done. It will change to your WIFI name plus EXT and key to the same password as your router .

  • It's okay...

Had some difficulty setting it up because the password was invalid, and had to reset the unit. Once that was done, installation was fast. The unit only recognizes the 2.4g connection, it doesn't see the 5g side. It works fine but would be happy if I could connect to the 5g side of my router with the extender.

  • Dap-1330

Device works pretty well, but i never could get the web interface back up once it was configured. Would be better if you could set a static ip in the device. It does a good job of it's intended purpose though.
