Good VFM but don't expect a proffesional machine.
Pros: - Easy to use. Robust, Reliable so far. Cons: - You do need to inspect thoroughly before using. Reading through the reviews here and on other sites it's apparent that you do need to do some pre use inspection and maintenance. Half an hour or so spent checking the security of all fixings is essential. In fairness the only bolts I found to be either loose or just nipped up were on the engine itself. (Including the spark plug which was just finger tight) You will need a good assortment of metric spanners or sockets. (They seem to have used every size going.) The actual wacker plate/hydraulic vibrator unit and belt tension were all spot on and they have used nyloc nuts and heavy duty spring washers so once checked they should be fine but recheck all nuts & bolts after 1st use just to be sure. I used Tesco brand10w30 semi synthetic oil for the engine and gearbox. The hydraulic oil in the vibrator unit is already pre filled. The engine started second pull and has been fine so far. It's a Chinese copy of the Honda GX160 series engines and should last well. Linfan are one of the better engine suppliers from China. I actually changed the oil after half an hours runing at low revs before using the machine in earnest. Just to be safe and make sure no post production swarf was lurking. (It wasn't.) The plate rammed down crushed chalk and MOT type 1 ballast for a large (5 x7 metre) workshop base very well, the next job is relaying a block paved driveway, I think this machine should handle that with ease. Which is more than can be said for my back :) Overall a 4* rating purely because the pre delivery inspection leaves a bit to be desired.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Improvements
Having not yet used it much it seems good quality and good value a couple of improvements could be made 1)the handle should be made to move more to the upright position so you can spin the whacker round in it's own plate space rather than backing it up to get away from the wall , fence etc. Also when i turn the revs up it always goes back to lower revs. If you made these alterations yoy would have a great machine , hope this helps GordonVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
