We sell small stone granulated carbon filter media which has a larger surface area that traditional pelleted products and therefore greater effectiveness. What is Activated Carbon? Activated Carbon is a form of carbon that has been produced with extremely high micro porosity. Carbon is good at binding to most elements and molecules which means that when fluids are passed through it or over it, contaminates or pollutants contained within the water will be caught by the carbon reducing improving the purity of the water. One gram of Activated Carbon has a surface area of between 1500m2/g to 3000m2/g.

This charcoal replaces toxic fragranced room sprays, blocks and wicks for me as I have chemical allergies
I have multi-chemical allergies and activated charcoal removes the need for toxic fragranced room sprays and blocks or wicks, etc. I have yet to use this particular charcoal but I expect it will be perfect to fill small fabric bags, which I plan to make as shoe deodorizers etc. I use charcoal all over my home and in the car to remove bad smells from wet dog to wardrobes and sweaty shoes.
