  • Most critical review

    sadly not fit for purpose

i bought this drill to remove a piece of render about 3 meters square and to be fair the drill cost £50 so i wasnt expecting too much.the drill is actually very good at removing the render, its compact but heavy enough to chop the render off.the problem comes that after 5 minutes of continued use it overheats and loses power.you have to stop for a couple of hours whilst it cools down so im guessing it will not last very long.i ended up doing the job with my 18v makita, ive since bought a small bosch drill for £100 and its much better spent money than this guild item, sadly even though its cheap and only needed for a small job its not fit for purpose, spend a bit more and get your job done

  • Great value

Half the price of the high-street. Great product. Not flimsy, It's got a lot of weight to it which you need for an SDS drill. Haven't used it in action yet but the test runs went well.

  • Good overall SDS drill

Only just received this as a second hand item. I've not used it in earnest but it has both chisel and rotary functions, which is all I need really.

  • Effective SDS drill

Needed a cheap SDS drill to drill two holes in a cavity wall for ethernet cable. This pre-owned item was ideal for the job - went through the double layers of brick in no time.

This makes short work of drilling/chiselling concrete. It uses special SDS drill bits which are extremely heavy duty. Also it uses a special chuck so conventinal drill bits will not work.
