Wow I don't know if I've just been lucky, but this little parlour (it's a full size not 1/4 I could be wrong) guitar sound great to me. People normally say you should change the guitar strings, but the strings that came with it sound great. The Bass rings like a classical and the sustain on the top E is great, I can hammer on from F to F# and slide up to A and it rings out nice and clear, and if I pluck the A string (bass 5) and hammer on B then C it rings out nice and loud. I tuned it up and it was playable straight out of the box no setting up. The volume wow! For the price you can't beat it. I don't have to feel pressures about those knocks and scraps. I can just throw it on top of the luggage and off I go..

Most of the famous delta blues of the 1930s/40s were played on inexpensive “parlour” style guitars. (See the only two photos of Robert Johnson). So ... no need to fork out hundreds of pounds for a Martin if you are into this style of playing! Action is a little high so slide is possible and the bass is surprisingly good. Construction seems fine and I particularly like the vintage finish - rather basic but effective. Only had it a couple of weeks but stays in tune pretty well. What is great is the size - you can leave it around the house without causing an obstacle and due to it’s low cost, not in constant fear of damage! Great value in my opinion.

I bought this guitar as it is not so expensive and I am not an expirienced guitar player, but was raised in a family with lot of musicians! I have been playing the piano for several years but had to move and left the piano behind for now. Couldn't be more happy with this guitar! It stays in tune even though I have no mercy on strings as a beginner. It also sounds extremely good as for this price range, especially with wooden picks. And it looks simply beautiful! Standard size, but even though I am rather small and short person, I have no problems with handling it :) Highly reccommended!

Lovely little parlour guitar from Vintage! The Statesboro' is absolutely excellent! Designed & voiced by guitar guru Paul Brett, what a great job he has done too! Superb player, right out the box, stays in tune, sounds lovely in open D major. This is not just an old bluesman's guitar either, it has far more going for it, folky overtones, strums well, perfect! Can't believe it at this price, just buy one! ❤️👍😊
