The carers hand breaks are a safety feature is easy folded with the handy straps each side .
We have had this W/Chair for only a few days and have used it twice, on bumpy streets and pavements. So far it has stood up to a journey of some 3/4 miles each journey, my husband found it was comfortable. Work needed before it could be used

A great lightweight wheelchair
This is the second wheelchair of this design and this model is even better than the first one we had about fifteen odd years ago. It has solid tyres that are soft enough for a comfortable ride as opposed to the inflatable tyres that used to deflate after continued use. This new one has brake assist handles for the person pushing . This is a great help when going down any inclines. The frame is made of aluminium which makes it so easy to lift in and out of the car. The wheelchair is light, lighter than most of the others on the market and is very easy to assemble. It is perfect for my father who has serious walking problems, he is able to take the folded chair out of his car boot and assemble it in seconds. Reliable and sturdy
Came fully assembled with only the footrests to adjust which is unavoidable because of height variations. Also had a clear page of instructions because some people might want to remove the wheels. It is quite heavy but will lift into a car boot by one person and to be honest I think if it were too light it would be more likely to tip over.
