Healtech ThunderBox small & easy to fit & use
Great bit of kit with easy installation, 2 wires direct to battery. Allows extra electrical connections to be added without the need to find switched wiring circuit that would need taking thing apart to find & circuit tested to see if they are switched. Fused & circuit protected so no other inline fuse required, switches off after a short time when constant voltage is not supplied to the battery & switches on when constant supply to the battery detected. Saves time & effort for those added electrical extras required.

Looks well made, but has design flaws
Looks really well made. From what I understand from the instructions, any one accessory connected to it will pull 16 amps before the fuse trips if the others are switched off. Not ideal with say the thin wiring for a satnav. It also doesn't switch off in auto mode with my Oxford heated grips unless they are set to 100%, and probably the same for any others that use PWM (pulses) for the heat settings. So if you need to use the switched live mode, there are other cheaper options available.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great for powering Accessories
This bit of kit did exactly wnat I needed, essentially seperate from all the systems on my modern bike with its (CBUS systems). This device connects directly to the battery and detects when the engine is running so can then power the accessory of choice, in my case a SAT NAV that needs more power than a USB connection can give. What an amazing piece of kit, needs to be widely advertised as I'd never heard about them until a conversation at local bike club meeting after talking to others about struggle about fitting a satnav to a switched live.
