Why bother making any other model?
This headset is fantastic, and I can't imagine why Turtle Beach would stop carrying them. The sound quality is excellent, the mic is great, and the wireless feature works spectacular. I chose this headset because the mic had a flexible boom, that can be removed. This means you can move the mic close to your mouth or well away from your face. Also, if you ever needed, you could replace the mic itself. Their newer models have a simple hard plastic boom, flip it up and its muted, down and its live...that's it. That said, it takes some getting used to the button placement on the headset. The volume adjustment wheels are adequate, but the buttons are flush with the case and somewhat difficult to locate by touch. It's also worth noting, they're all on the same side, seems like they could split them up, or at least make the mute button similar to the power on the opposite side. The small, difficult to locate mute button is the only complaint I really have about the headset. The cups have nice amount of padding and the covering is vented with little holes. Unfortunately the material is leather like, so I can see that it might become uncomfortable with extended use. There is plenty of padding on the strap as well. The cups swivel freely which, to me, seems odd. I feel they should have a tad more resistance in the swivel. The strap has plenty of clamping force to keep the headset secure, but not so much that you feel like your eyes will pop out. Allegedly, you can use these on your mobile phone, PlayStation, or PC with the included cable as a regular wired headset. However, I have not tried them in any of these scenarios. Over all, this is an extremely nice headset for its price. The fact that its wireless and works, on Xbox one, flawlessly right out of the box is just icing on the cake. The fact that Turtle Beach no longer offers this headset on their website indicates to me that it's discontinued...which is VERY disappointing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good but not tough!
This is really a good pair of basic headphones for gaming - however, the plug side is easily damaged if not handled correctly... Basically, they to be handled with care.... Nothing is perfect. You can't please everyone. Reason I gave it 4 stars. This being said, the Turtle Beach 420x+ is a great value. They work great wirelessly for the XBOX ONE console. Sound quality could be better, but do sound decent. Also could be a little louder...... again, they are sufficient. I have been using them regularly for about a week now, I have not had any issues with comfort. They are very comfortable to wear....... for hours !! Battery life is also sufficient. Awesome sound! Better sound than $ 150. studio recording headphones ! Better sound than Beats solo 3 headphones! I highly recommend theses to use with a cell phone, a laptop /desktop computer, for home or professional recording studio monitor headphones! You hear everything in all of the lows,meds,and highs with rich, full detail! The ‘ Super human hearing ‘ feature promised by Turtle Beach is absolutely true! I wish I could give theses a rating of ten out of five! I tape the not working mic back out of the way. I’m considering sawing the mic off of the headset. Immersive Gaming
The surround sound and super human hearing are absolutely true. I bought these specifically to play Survival on the Division for Xbox One. And I immediatly became better. I can now hear all those little things that were killing me before so now I'm prepared when they happen.
