Perfect for a medium haired dog or cat does tend to tug a bit if hair has got dried in mud , Works well.

Whilst I recommend this brush, there was a lack of instruction, eg, how to get the brush to stay extended, it isn't immediately obvious, and I discovered by accident really. This is a good brush and especially the feature of the wiry bristles disappearing when the button is pressed to remove the hair collected. I feel this brush is more suited to a small dog rather than my pedigree Norwegian Forest cat, Petra. Although her four is mid length, I felt it was scratching her skin a wee bit. Ingenious brush!!
We have two dogs, one smooth and one rough coated. The bristles are quite spiky, which suits the rough coat better than the smooth. Best dog brush EVER!!!
We have used many different dog brushes over the years. Some cheap some really expensive... Like £30. But this brush at a sixth of the price is the best. Ir performs just as well as the more expensive ones but this one is so easy to clean. The others were so good at removing loose hair from a dogs coat they were really difficult to clean, but this brush can be cleaned with one click of a button. ABSOLUTE GENIUS!!! Does what it says and is very easy to use

I bought this for a cockapoo I'm looking after and it's really straightforward to use easily untangling the longer curly hair. I've also tried it on my Dalmation/Springer cross and it works just as well. The retracting tines allow easy collection of loose hair and the handle allows a good grip to reach all places on the dogs.
