A large well-made suet ball feeder.
A good size suet fat-ball feeder - large enough to accommodate several smaller song-birds at a time. Just how "Squirrel-resistent" this proves to be remains to be seen. I have hopes, but I also have many ( like six to ten at any one time ) ravaging squirrel families who think my bird feeding is just for them ! Past experience has shown that even all-steel feeders become damaged and deformed over a short period of just a few weeks - just keeping them from being torn down is a job on its own ! Starling proof!
These feeders are sturdy, well made and the ONLY feeders I have tried that keep starlings from eating everything you put out. They stop magpies too, even after a very determined attempt by one that I witnessed. I have all three types and they all work just as well. So glad we purchased this item. We had a narrower one but it didn't deter pigeons, Magpies or Jackdaws and they were forever finding ways to feed from it.
