Excellent Cardiod Mic.
I have used the mic on a Canon 5D whilst filming outdoors and it has stopped all the wind noises that were spoiling my previous videos using the camera mic. Ok, it is only a cheap mic but for what I need it for, the mic is excellent. I have clipped the mic onto the stand and have left it attached. People have said the stand breaks but this hasn't happened to me. When the stand is attached, the mic, cover and stand all fit together into the carry bag supplied but is a snug fit, so be careful.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good value for the price, but don't expect too much.
This mic was recommended to me by a friend, I already have the Rode equivalent, I compared this mic outdoors in a light wind against the Rode and in-camera mic (Sony FDR-AX53 4K). I did better than the in-camera mic at reducing wind noise, but the Rode still had the edge overall. Away from the wind it was not as good as either the in-camera or Rode mic. To be honest the best way to reduce wind noise is to turn the recording level of the camera down and avoid standing in the wind. This mic is a good low cost alternative for use with a GoPro or lower end mobile phone. It is good value at the price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
