When it comes to the remote controlling the TV, it only has 6 codes for each brand. Unfortunately I cannot use the remote to control my JVC TV. However I did manage to connect it to the LG sound Bar. So I can control the volume. The user interface on the Chrome is easy to use. It is so nice to not need my phone to stream.

This device has turned my LG LCD into a smart TV. Its compact and well hidden behind my TV. The downside is the remote control, it would be nice if it had a lighting feature or glow, for ease of use in the dark.

The standard ChromeCast is great but it’s pretty naff as it’s just adds a kind of wireless connectivity to a device. I’m glad to say the ChromeCast with TV goes that one stage further and adds smart TV applications and a fun to use GUI (graphical user interface). After initial registration to the various services you’re free to roam BBC iPlayer to Netflix to VLC. Tech savvy people will have no problems streaming all their media via a Samba server in no time whatsoever. It’s really quite powerful and gives insight into streaming IPTV service too.

Coming from a previous Chromecast, first generation, I was really looking forward for the latest iteration of this Google marvel. And it doesn't disappoint. It's quick, it's intelligent, it's a great addition to your TV. And my TV it's already "intelligent" but it gives me a few more options. One of them it's Plex. On my Samsung TV, the Plex app it's just buggy and unreliable, but if you use the Google TV one, it's just responsive and infallible, notable. A real pleasure.

Good gadget to enable all your apps to be viewed/played through your TV. The Google TV portion allows you to preview programming that you wouldn't normally preview using formats like Netflix. It shows content from all of your subscribed providers as well as apps to allow IPTV and internet TV

Easy to use and set up. Performs well. The remote is super convienient. The only things I don't like is I can't pin my regular apps to the main screen - the default view is 'we recommend' and the recommendations are spread across many apps, some of which I am not signed up for and have no intention of ever doing so. Also the option to display all my photos is concerning. I think I have it turned off, but I certainly don't want my photos displayed on TV! Otherwise is really good. One of the smoothest and easiest devices I've used, and all for a reasonable price.

Took quite a while getting it connected. Works really well though. What I dont like is the small size of the controller, I didn't think I had particularly big hands! Plus when connected to a bluetooth module, the volume on the controller is off or about 75%. I have to use the Google Home app on the phone for fine adjustment of volume. Otherwise very happy, great way of turning a monitor or a projector into a TV when needed.

A great product and a must for all who don’t have smart tv’s. Relies on an Internet signal. A Plug and play installation with an easy to use remote control. The user interface is intuitive and can be adapted

The quality of TV picture and sound on this device is excellent. The set up and delivery was great. The actual associated software could improve with the availability of more apps - the Fire TV equivalent provides a much greater range
