Clear case for 2½ hard drives.
A clear enclosure enables you to see the drive inside. Useful if you have many external hard drives.Once you have closed the case, after sticking the round pad on the drive, the case stays shut unlike another case, which I am having to glue shut. excellent value for money.
to open, hold with fingures underneath, and thumbs on top,grip tightly, and pull thumbs downward. the top cover should slide downward and off. when connected, there is a light that flickers when being used, this is slightly different to another make, in that the connection socket is in the centre, rather than the side, using this item, and a hybrid SSHD drive, I was able to clone a PC system to it in less than 10 minutes,it is only powered through the USB connection, there is no provision for an independant power supply, it works well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Be careful
This case is very good and works perfectly but it takes some time to work out to get it apart to insert the disk drive. I was quite concerned not damaging it while getting it apart but doing things very carefully it was fine. I suspect it can be easily damaged if you are not careful. Easy to use once you get it open
The quality seems quite good and works fine, however it was a pig to open spent nearly 10 minutes with a knife opening it, frightened to put to much leverage on the sliding joint in case it broke the clear plastic case, once opened popped the hard drive in and tested it everything worked well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice, great value and works perfectly (so far!)
Great product. I am a little worried that for HHDs from laptops the "do not cover" holes are really close to the plastic but so far they are working fine. Really good value for money.
