Orphan, Victoria Carlton is brought up by her uncle, a banker, to be a lady and make a good marriage. Yet, she is drawn to help the poor families in the slums, much to her family's disgust. Good use of descriptive words which put you in the picture
I’ve just started reading this book, and I can tell at the onset, it’s my kinda book.It caught my attention re fashion and silk dresses, and who wore what colour. I can’t give too much away, but I’m interested to see how orphaned Victoria fits in with her Aunt, Uncle, and cousins . Especially now a kind handsome Doctor has arrived on the scene. Who will win his heart. I would recommend this book.
