Good value for money, but don't expect genuine Makita quality. It all works OK, some of the mechanical adjustments are a bit crude, but they do work. Personally, I don't think Makita is doing its brand image any favours with this second line product. That is not to say there is anything wrong with it, it just does not have the "quality feel" you would expect from a Makita product. If it had been marketed under a different name, I would have given it a 4 star rating.
This is my second makita saw they are a nice weight powerful little saw and I use this saw every day cutting 8x2timbers for roofs and have no problem with it my 1st saw is still going after 8 yrs but I cut through the cable and it’s being repaired
It's overpriced. It's not easy to work with as blade is hidden and positioned opposite side comparable with mostly of present modern tools . My be if blade protector wasn't constructed like it is it actually could be a decent device , but it worth no more than half of price asked for However it's really overpriced old model.
