While I don't think this album breaks any new ground for Maiden, it is a good solid album and is throughout, consistently very reminiscent of many of their previous tracks - in that sense it has a feel of nostalgia for the maiden fan throughout. I think the most exceptional song on the album is "Hell on Earth" which does for this album what 'The Red and the Black' did for the last album- it has that special undefinable quality and epic feel coupled with some damn good melody. The second most epic song for me is "The Death of the Celts" - this theme suits maiden perfectly as they have always had that Celtic vibe. "The Writing on the Wall" and the "Time Machine" are also very memorable, very catchy and think will be fan favourites for a time to come.

Always liked Maiden. One of the few metal bands I can listen to. This comes with the obligatory long masterpieces, tinged in folklore, but also with the more melodic tracks as well. All in all, another triumphant IR album.
