ReviewsRanked #17 in Kerrang's "The Top 20 Albums Of 2007" -- "This is the ultimate, rambunctious soundtrack to a bout of hard partying.", "With bouncy thrash riffs, snotty punk vocals, hyperactive tempos and inhuman, ear-splitting speed that conjures up classic San Francisco Bay Area thrashers like Exodus and Forbidden.", 4.5 stars out of 5 -- "From the surgical assault of drum icon Dave Witte to the scorching production of Zeuss, THE ART OF PARTYING bursts with breakneck energy.", 3.5 stars out of 5 -- "The Waste pack a lot into these two-minute furies -- deft riffs, killer drumming, and Tony Foresta's motormouth vocals."
Additional InformationOn THE ART OF PARTYING, Richmond, Virginia's Municipal Waste cranks out another dripping slab of throwback crossover/thrash. The production is a bit slicker here than on 2005's HAZARDOUS MUTATION, and Ray Waste's buzz-saw guitar sounds more overtly metal. The biggest change, though, is singer Tony "Guardrail" Foresta's unabashed lyrical embrace of Gang Green-like self-indulgence-as-lifestyle, as on "Beer Pressure," "The Inebriator," and "Born To Party." As if the music wasn't head spinning enough.
