Reviews"Punctuated by bursts of thunder and disturbing silences...it encapsulates the band's ability to demonstrate musical freedom within strict bounds.", 5 stars out of 5 - "TAGO MAGO displays Can's psych-free and disciplined sides at their most ritually balanced.", "A Mind-Expanding Double-Album...Whose Most Jaw-Dropping Item Is the 18-Minute 'halleluhwah'...", "With One of the Most Dazzling Set-Pieces in Early 70s Music.", "The Band's Groove-Centric Art-Rock Masterpiece...", 5 stars out of 5 -- "When Michael Karoli cuts loose with that stinging guitar solo near the end of 'Oh Yeah,' it's like setting the stone on archaeological perfection.", Included in Spin's "5 Essential Krautrock Records" - "...'Post-rock' starts right here....one tough, streamlined groove..."
A lovely work of art - the music sounds as fresh today as ever it did, a beautiful album to treasure. This edition has the original gatefold artwork lovingly reproduced with new liner notes on the inner sleeves, and the vinyl is heavy duty. There is also a download voucher, and the postage is free, and the asking price is already best value. My copy arrived in high quality packaging, and when I took the album out it was so beautiful in the shrink wrap that I was tempted to just keep it intact and occasionally gloat over it. This feeling soon passed however, to be replaced by the infinitely more pleasurable experience of grooving to the Can.
I recommend that you purchase this album immediately and without hesitation.
