Really great subwoofer :) The new PC2000 Pro model is out, but this PC2000 still represents a very good value if you can find it on sale, open box, or barely used. I'm glad I went for this over the PB12 NSD I was considering or even a PB1000 or PB2000. I really liked & considered a couple of HSU options as well, but they were above my budget(around $800-$1100 with shipping). The Piano Gloss Black finish is nice. I like that it comes with the $50 SVS Soundpath Isolation Feet included, which helps isolate more on my wood subfloor than it would otherwise. The cylinder shape is also nice & different, less width & depth but obviously taller. I bought an SVS Subwoofer cable too, which is of good quality & sound. I got it for a great price! The new Piano Gloss PC2000 Pro retails for $949, and the Piano Gloss PC2000 is $849 & Black Ash $799. My max budget for a sub was around $700, and I even got this under $650 w/ shipping. It works well/sounds great with my budget 3.1 setup, paired with the Sony SS-CS5s, SS-CS8, and STR-DH790. My space is quite a large amount of cubic feet(probably around 4-6K counting the dining room & also kitchen it opens up to) so one of these can't pressurize it or anything, but it still sounds very good and gets loud & low when called upon. 2 of these, or 1-2 15 inch subs would probably be ideal for bass if funds/budget weren't a thing. The Edge of Tomorrow intro really shakes the house & foundation even at volumes of 37 to 50/74 when it hits the 20hz tone. The 15hz tone can't really be reproduced too well/isn't usably loud in my space and 10hz is non-existent(obviously for this price range). The sub is supposed to reach down to the 15-19hz range depending on room size & such at high volumes. Pacific Rim, Tron Legacy, the asteroid field scene in Star Wars: Ep. 2 sound sick! Songs with deep bass sound excellent & full. I really appreciate the linear response, excellent extension, & clean rumble. SVS, HSU Research, Rythmik, PSA, and Monoprice Monolith are all great subwoofer options and a choice from any of them would probably be good. I highly recommend this subwoofer 👍
