Ok well a review of citric acid is really very much to say about it it's a food product it's mildly acidic it's an acid originally derived from citrus fruits hence its name it's useful for many things the one I bought it for is as a descaler it is actually the principal ingredient of most descalers used to remove limescale from cooking utensils like kettles or coffee machines or stills and buying it as citric acid rather than as a proprietary descaler has to be the best way to go as a review the stuff did what I wanted it for and I've no doubt it will continue to do so

The perfect descaling product I have ever found so far.
The package arrived on time and in good condition. The crystals are very fine so it doesn't make any dilution difficult whatsoever. I first used it to descale my kettle and after that, flush the resulting water into the toilet to remove calcium deposits in the bowl. I used two large tea spoons of the citric acid and diluted it into approx. half a litre of water, let it boil. Unlike white vinegar, I didn't have to wait after the water started to boil. The kettle was good as new immediately! After that, I went to the toilets with the kettle and emptied the steaming hot mix into the toilet bowl and left it overnight. The next morning, the calcium that was so difficult to remove with the brush or even with the Toilet Duck, was completely gone. Added bonus of this product: it is nearly odourless and after a few rinse, any taste is gone, unlike the white vinegar that has a very particular smell and taste even after a couple of rinses. I am a citric acid convert!

Easy rust removal
I bought this product expressly for surface rust removal that had formed on a pair of hedge clippers and secateurs, I've never used this method before and had my doubts about its effectiveness. I followed some simple instructions obtained from Y tube, it worked and its safe to use but you need to be patient as the process can take a few hours. Not much more to say except that I recommend this product.

Descale coffee machines regularly.
Did the job of descaling my coffee machine. The water would not heat sufficiently, so a warm cup of coffee was the problem. Two decaling procedures with the Citric Acid solved the problem. The machine hadn't been descaled for a couple of years because the decaling light must have been faulty.

I use it to make up a cleaning solution. Use it to remove water stains. Doesn’t smell like vinegar and better, in my view. The big plus is that you save money not having to buy shop bought ready made sprays.

Simply fantastic for cleaning.
This has to be the most underrated cleaning agent for limescale. I used it on my shower head and hose and it came out gleaming by just soaking it in a bucket of citric acid solution for an hour.
