Huawei E3372h-320 Dongle
Works out of the box with Raspberry Pi. Very easy to set up. Works well with a GiffGaff SIM. Pulls in a good signal even without using external antennae. This is not a Wingle - it does not have built- in WiFi, which is a good thing because Wingle's WiFi tends to interfere with Raspberry Pi's internal WiFi.

Not suitable for router installations
The sliding top panel provides easy access to the Sim and SD Card ports with the added convenience of TS9 sockets for antennae on the side. Connection requires inbuilt software / driver installation and web browser confirmation page. This Modem dongle did not work in my router only my Windows 10 PC operated directly from the USB port. I got a good reception strength from ee relative to my phone reception and the dongle didn't overheat like the phone does on tethering. The dongle is quite large similar in size to the old form of WiFi dongles and therefore may interfere with other access ports on your PC. It does not come with an extension cable and the box did not look authentic Huawei. There were minimal instructions.

Does the job well.
I was looking for something other than a smart phone to allow me to access the internet remotely on my laptop. This works as good as a smart phone that is using hotspot. It was super simple to set up. I literally popped a sim card in and I had 4g access. It takes a full size sim card which many new phones don't, so that's just a heads up that you may need a new sim or at least the additional parts.

not really a modem
Technically speaking the dongle work as modem router with android inside. If you want to make it work as a pure modem, you have to hack it. But the maximum bandwidth gets narrower in modem mode.

Good steady modem
There is a choice between HiLink software and Stick software for the modem. For Windows and routers, the HiLink is the safer bet, but it may depend on your router. The E3372 is good value and connects very quickly on 4G (assuming your SIM card provider supports 4G). Drop-outs are minimal, if at all.

Nah, pretty poor product
Its for the Russian market and hence so are the instructions. Doesn't work with my ASUS router + 3 network SIM. I don't have a Windows machine to run the software. Pretty useless. I've used other products before where I could just load up the SIM card and go.

This item does not work in the UK
This is a Russian item, not in warranty. According to Huawei it was bought out and we have been unable to register it and use it in the UK - not worth the hassle. All instructions are in Russian to!
