Small but mighty!
I bought these little heaters to replace practically identical Pifco ones that I had before but had loaned them out to a family member who was having a boiler breakdown crisis and I just never got round to getting them back again. I chose to go for this style of heater again because they are very compact, lightweight and the base stand folds away for easy storage whenever you aren't using them. The halogen bars provide instant heat whenever you need it and can heat up a full room in no time at all. The instant heat and 400/800W output makes them far more energy efficient and therefore more economical to run. You can run 2 of these heaters on full power and it would still cost considerably less than it would to run a single 2kw panel/convector heater. They have an anti tip safety pressure button so that the unit only works when placed on a flat, stable surface and will switch off if accidentally knocked over etc. They do radiate a lot of intense heat, which is reflected forward by the reflective panels and is similar to what you would expect from using a fireplace heater. This means that you do have to make sure that the heater is placed in a clear space, far enough back from anything that could overheat and cause a fire hazard. All in all.. Great for the money and highly recommended From past experience, I would recommend that you hold on to the cardboard box packaging so that you can store the heaters away again without something accidentally bashing and denting the protective mesh grill part.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Didn’t last for a month
I wasn’t expecting this much of heat to come out of this small heater. Looks nice and well made. Cord is a bit short but other than that it is a good heater. Great little heater
Excellent for heating my medium sized living space when the nights get a bit chilly, light and portable so can be used in any room in the house without having to fire up the central heating. Economical to use, the little halogen gives off a super amount of warmth for very little cost, is well constructed, and has a cut off safety switch which turns the heater off if knocked over or picked up. Instant Heat

Great little Heater
For a small heater this packs some punch. Even with just one bar on it heats the whole room within 15 minutes or so...fantastic! Plus cheap to use at around 18 pence an hour. Was Great until it broke after 2 months
Was the perfect, portable halogen heater for 2 months but broke suddenly? The top halogen heater bar suddenly looked like it was almost ‘leaking’ and was emitting an extremely bright light from what seemed like a crack? Now it doesn’t turn on at all. This appeared after using the heater intermittently for 2 months which is a huge shame. Just be wary that the lifetime of this heater may be very low.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
