Helix Premium Quality Pencil Sharpener
I am very happy with this product; it is easy to operate and bought the first one for my 6 year old grandson and he manages to use it with no problems. I so loved the way it worked I bought another for myself. It gives a long elegant tapered point, it sharpens the pencil and then stops once it is sharp, unlike small hand held sharpeners where you could keep sharpening until there is no more pencil left. It also leaves pencil shavings that are quite different from any I have come across before. Clamp needs modification
The clamp only connects to one side therefore the sharpener twists when using, unless holding with other hand. This is difficult as I purchased the item for my wife who has suffered a stroke with very little use of one arm and hand. Classic style and quality

Why did I wait so long before I purchased it I ask myself? No more searching for the small sharpeners then having sharpened a pencil finding the lead breaking again. All our pencils will now always be ready to use because it is so rewarding to use. The only small gripe, my husband has, is when it is clamped to the desk and you need to empty it you remove the shavings container but when you go to replace it he has had a job getting it back in so you have to loosen the clamp off and it goes in easily. Efficient desk pencil sharpener for home use

Fantastically easy to use

Good once assembled
Doesn't come fully assembled or with instructions on how to assemble. Had to figure out where a few small parts went which was not easy. Otherwise once built a good product. Just like the teacher had
It's a good solid device that reminds me of the one that sat on the corner of the teachers desk. It's solid, compact and effective. Squeeze the fingers and pull the pencil holder out, put in a pencil, let go of the fingers. A few turns of the handle, and it stops when the pencil is sharp. There is a lever to adjust the amount taken off, and a plastic box to hold the shavings. Just press on one side and the drawer slides out, ready for tipping in the bin.
