Having bought other cameras for security reasons I was never happy with them so was hesitant when i saw this one, a colleague at work said he used them in all his properties and showed me some of the feeds on his phone, convinced me to get it. the picture quality is good for both night and day, setup is simple with easy to read instructions and the ability to use it over the internet with a link to the phone is great for if you want to go on holiday and be sure things are ok at home. 3 minor gripes are 1. The power lead is a bit short as most plugs are low down on the wall and you normally want to have the camera high up out of reach of want to be burglars, easy fix is to have an extension option for the camera 2. It would be nice to have a backup battery inside the camera so if that want to be burglar does unplug it it will keep recording his evil ways. and 3. No fault of the camera but it if your WiFi is not up to scratch the feed can be delayed, that said, the camera will still record to the memory card. Read full review

Poor performance generally with the app compared with another COOAU generic camera I bought. Doesn't support all features of onvif and is harder to setup and configure as a result without using the specific proprietary app which isn't great. Streaming is laggy even when wired. No FTP option either.

Initially tried connecting with Onvif protocol and i could not get it to connect (Wired) as there was suggestion the password was wrong although it was fresh out of the box and the safety code is supposed to be the default password. After some Googling, discovered the Dahua config tool and managed to reset password to default. Instructions could be improved here. Once connected, what can i say but superb picture quality day and night. Have now had this working with Onvif and RTSP protocols in CMS and iSpy PC software and of course the Imou life app. A bit more faffing around switching from Wired to wireless as the IP address changed and i had to delete and add the device again a number of times in the mobile app and although configured the wireless while still on wired the app wasn't having any of it and timing out when trying to configure. Tried again following day and connected without issue to wireless. Would 100% recommend buying this product and am going to order a few more. Read full review

A quality product,well purchased this as first Camera i have purchased so was concerned with regard to quality etc. Shouldnt have been this Camera arrived well packaged with easy to read instructions. i fitted same and downloaded the App so straight forward ,only niggle for a non tec person was the altering of the Router to output only 2.4mhz but with that done easy. The product is well made and easy to fit you even supplied a template . The camera quality in HD is excellent so is the Speaker!
