I purchased this to replace my Macbook Air 13" 2012 model. The Macbook Air is a wonderful computer, however it could not handle the intense CPU needed for music production. The Macbook Pro is just about everything you could ask for in a computer, there is nothing that it cannot handle. Also, the sharp 15 inch screen is beautiful, the sound is really rich compared to the Macbook Air. The touch bar is a great feature and is being used more and more by software manufacturers, and the fingerprint security is a really nice touch. Only drawbacks which we all know about, and really it's disappointing, is that the only ports on the computer are the USB-C ports. This is a real hassle, as you have to buy extra cables and adapters which hang off the computer all the time. This is no clean solution, it's really messy, I don't know why Apple could not have designed all this and kept the same size of the computer. I am always having to look for connectors and carry small adapters and wires around with me that let's face it easily can be lost in transit, and if they are, you cannot connect your peripherals. Bad move Apple. Nevertheless I am happy with everything else, and given that there is nothing else like this (I have hated Windows since Windows 8 came out), this is an elegant, fast, professional machine that is a joy to use.Read full review
