Gets a bit technical in places but it's basically readable with various hints and you can almost 'hear' Ruby Wax in some of her writing. I must say I like the personal memories. I'm not sure whether her hints on mindfulness with children will work with the grandchildren, although I will try, but I think her various descriptions of dealing with children should be required reading for all new parents.... Haven't finished it yet but this is a book I won't be handing out on loan as I reckon I will be re reading it , as very often this type of book becomes more meaningful and helpful when revisited

Well written without any psychobabble and a real insight into the workings of one's mind, this book empowers one to recognise the elasticity of the mind and the brain and how beneficial changes can be effected with a bit of concentrated effort. I read the book through twice, more slowly the second time and I frequently refer to it. Well done Ruby Wax! TEN STARS !!
