Shakin’ out the Shaq
I bought two. One for me and one for the youngest son. The way I described it to him is quick, clean and quiet. I haven’t used mine a whole lot so far, but I bought it mostly to do steaks - which it does pretty well. I really liked the performance. I’m looking forward to trying different things on it. My single complaint so far is, on the recipes, there is no guidelines set for grill heat settings. They’re all over the food safety doneness temps - which is fine. But I tried to do marinated chicken legs but without any grill heat setting guidance, the first batch were dry and basically (nearly) inedible by the time the internal temp was reached and the meat done to the bone. The second pass with the cooler grill settings was much better. I can tell there’s going to be a learning curve and experimentation - but most of that could be avoided with some coaching from the manufacturer. Other than that, I like it.
