Disappointed in the Sharp EL 1501 calculator
I was unable to use it from the start. The on key only responded after about a minute, number keys, and = keys, were unreliable and finally, the off key only responded after a few seconds. Unused since. Why was I sent a mains adaptor when the calculator had no mains socket?

Small but very useful
This is an excellent adding machine with its digital paper roll. At first I thought it was a gimmick but in fact, I've found myself constantly going back to previous calculations to retrieve the figures. This is much quicker than having to re-do the calculation. Also, the 2 AA batteries are still going strong after several months so it's very efficient. Finally, it's small and lightweight, so easy to take on holiday if you work freelance. The tax buttons are useful too. All in all, I'd recommend this machine, despite its cost, it's a professional machine.
