This is a very unusual album of really old chestnuts from the 1920s. A lot of moods, sort of sad and honky-tonk like you're in the middle of an old movie, in a nightclub on the wrong side of the tracks. Some occasional modern touches, too. The usual, satisfying musicianship I've come to expect from this very talented singer/pianist. Lots of fun.
