This film works on the psychological confines of terror; it surprises, controls and finally, abandons one. Evil slowly appears, over time, with conviction. Stephen Campbell - Moore is utterly convincing, surprises with contrast and is believable throughout. David Morrisey is overbearing in role, with evil intent from the start. The two female protagonists are good but the actresses’ needed more room to manoeuvre in their character parts, which was determined by traditional, restrictions in script and limited their potential to break outside of these imagined parts.
