Great value lens
I shoot landscape photos with mainly wideangle lenses. But occasionally you hit upon a picture which require a longer lens. Sony make some fabulously expensive, fast and very heavy telephoto zoom lenses, but unless you pixel peep you are not going to notice the difference compared to pictures made with this lens. It's excellent. The built-in stabilisation works really well, it's sharp and good across the range. For 5% of my pictures it's a very good compromise and great value.

Great reach and compact size lens.
Good companion for a6500 at sport photography and videos. Accurate focus even in fast events. Indoor use not tested yet, but dark days outdoors are ok, iso stays in acceptable levels.

Better than expected
Like most people I read reviews, watched YouTube video reviews etc before purchasing this lens. I’m not a pro anymore and wanted to avoid paying for a 2.8 constant aperture etc. Anyway this lens is incredible with my Sony A3. Very sharp, beautifully clear images and the lens stabilisation coupled with IBIS works amazing. I’ve taken sharp hand held images at 300 MMF at 1/8 second. Outstanding.
