This book is right up to the minute in giving advice that Bookkeepers are going to have to extend their knowledge, as automation by computers increasingly takes over the more basic bits of their current work. Not only that but he prepares the reader for the kind of additional skills they will be expected to develop as firms begin to expect more from them than they do at present. If a bookkeeper wants to keep ahead of their game I find this author is the one to follow as each time a new edition comes out it means things have significantly changed or are about to and a bookkeeper needs to update their knowledge and skill. As always the exam papers are also updated with the latest ones, which is really important to those who are still taking exams. Most books feature papers that are way out of date and therefore don't prepare a reader appropriately for exams. This one is right up to date in this respect.Read full review
