Good sound card with AMP for Virtual Surround
Well I wrote another review but it didn't got because something with the link, Anyway if you compare it to Creative ZXR and Asus Strix RAID DLX then this card has enough options . ZXR has Reverb/Echo when using the Surround, on the Asus you can disable Reverb. I like the Asus VSS which sound natural and the pinpoint on direction is great. the GSX 1000 doesn't have good AMP for heavy duty headphones like the one I have Beyerdynamic DT990 600 Ohms so the device is expensive and also external AMP was needed to connect to the GSX for maximum performance/volume . so it's really expensive compare to the other sound cards. Also we have Creative AE-5 soon to be released and we'll see how it perform . I bought the a USED GSX so it was a bit cheaper and also the Asus Strix Raid DLX was Used one, so I didn't lose much for the purchase . Still I'm happy because I use the Asus Strix for my 5.1 Logitech 5500 Digital so I still need it. and the GSX + External AMP Mayflowerelectornics Objective2 . so everything working great and I didn't buy it using too much money :P I'm happy at the purchase .Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Not worth the price
Good sounding pre amp dac. Good features . Love the volume dial and different sound features but felt that it was weak In the amp compared to the Fiios E10K amp/dac the Fios was way stronger in power but doesn’t have the Sennheisers sound features. I’d rather go for the fios for Audio input and used motherboards mic input than to pay over $250 for this unit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great device
Decided on this for a new setup I was designing because I realized I don't need a high end studio microphone for gaming when sennheiser products are raising the bar for all in one designs. Paired this amp with the sennheiser game zero, the combo is great. Excellent value here on ebay. This review is for gamers.
The sound on this for gaming is amazing. I don't know what it is but this amp sounds better with games than music on YouTube. Not to say that music doesn't sound great but in game the world is simply brought alive. Also the voice from your friends sounds better. Worth the money.
