The best 4K blu-ray player on the market!
I finally took the plunge, splashed the cash and bought a 4k Blu-ray player. This model is packed with features and is a beautiful looking piece of kit, which will sit well in any good home cinema set-up. The pictures from 4k discs are stunning and the up-scaling from normal Blu-rays is also very impressive. The opening frames of THE REVERANT look absolutely breathtaking. As for up-scaled discs; such as STAR WAR: A NEW HOPE and INCEPTION, the picture quality is very impressive. Discs load very quickly, without making too much noise. Sound is a massive improvement on by old Pioneer player, with separate HDMI outputs for picture and sound. 3D works very well, although this does seem to be a dying format. Streaming movies from your home network is very effective, plus some nice smart features, such as YouTube are great additions. The remote control is well laid out and easy to use, with a very useful backlight feature, this is very helpful when watching a movie in a darkened room. 10/10Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Fantastic quality, great image and lots of features
Running this with a 79 inch UHD TV which doesn't have HDR. The player has a function to map HDR range onto the best it can with the TV by reducing the overall picture brightness. The resulting picture is outstanding, there seems to be real range in the blacks. Better than I could possibly have imagined
Samsung 4k TV & Denon ARW3300-based sound system. The picture quality from this unit is astounding. I hadn't realised it was also a media server so I can listen to music and play videos stored on my NAS without the need for a seperate media server. Super 4k UHD player
I bought this player to move up to the latest 4k UHD/HDR technology. I previously owned a Panasonic 4k up-scaling player. I have found the image quality from this latest player to be quite awesome with the right material. Some scenes are breath-taking in their clarity, detail and colour contrast utilising the HDR capabilities of the player and my Panasonic TV. It is an expensive player, and prices will probably come down for those that are prepared to wait a while.
