  • Fantastic book about classic cars in Cuba

It's a great heavy large format hardback book - but not only perfect for the coffee table! Fantastic photographs and great stories about classic cars in Cuba - mainly of course about the old U.S. cars, but also some other contents, e.g. regarding a Porsche 356 probably brought into the country by the Bacardi family. It's well written and gives lots of information how Cuban people do keep them on the road - particular tricky due to the US embargo which came into full force in 1960, not long after the revolution by Fidel Castro on 01/01/1959 - and which is still ongoing now. The text is written in 3 languages - including English. The German authors have travelled to Cuba more than once and have written first hand of what they've seen and experienced during their travels.
