Durable yes - reasonable $, I'd buy another.
Nice phone, a little heavy, but built quite well. Slipped a guard on it for $12.00 from an aftermarket source, which thickened it up a touch. It definitely is a stout design - fits hand nice, big enough to see, small enough to still fit in your shirt pocket. Nice display. I use a phone as a phone and to text, a few app's., not as a pc. Great Rugged Phone with Mediocre Performance
If you need a great outdoor work/play phone, this one is worth a look. The phone is it's own carrying case being both dust & water proof to about 6'. Can even be used like a "GoPro" with optional accessories and it's 120 degree view camera. Because of this, the phone is thicker than most non-rugged phones. To it's advantage, adding a case to a regular phone could make it just as thick as this one. A screen protector would help keep scratches and smudges off this phone the same as others. The onboard 32GB storage lends it's self well for plenty of media storage. On board speakers are louder than most as well. The power under the hood unfortunately lends it's self to mediocre tasks at best. The 2gb RAM really slows the swapping of apps down as the phone has to remove the open app for the new one in it. Swapping apps can take upto 45 seconds sometimes. Once open apps run reasonably well. Battery life also seems to be an issue as it drops faster than some. Even without rapid charging the phone charges quickly. Even with my heavy use of setting this phone up, I only had to charge it once during the day. While these phones can be "Unlocked", rooting and customized operating systems seem very scarce for this model.. The phone is intended for the carrier it was developed for. AT&T for example will not allow Android updates for a non-AT&T user. Even Cricket Wireless (owned by AT&T) can't do updates. My phone is still on a security patch from 2016. Yes the phone will work with other carriers but without updates, it's a security risk.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Compared to Samsung $700 phones -- there is no comparison at this low price. Everything and more for less. Rugged, waterproof.
I am a contractor and keep my phone on me while I work, so it does get wet and sometimes gets dropped. I had another kyocera (less expensive model) that put up with all that, but the external speakers were very poor (it was a $57 Walmart buy). That's why I upgraded to this model. Though it is used, it was in great shape. The speakers are much better and it has a much bigger internal memory. Well worth what I paid for it and more. Great Tough Phone.
Great phone especially if your in a construction trade as I am. The thing can take a beating. The home buttons on front make it easy. The camera takes good pics, bright screen, loud speakers, clear calls, and gets stronger reception than my brothers iPhone. Some complain about battery life, but its just fine for me as I don't spend all day surfing the web as I work, and use a laptop when at home. I do play music while working and reply to texts & check email on break and occasionally use the navigation, when I get home the battery is usually between 75-80%. Great rugged smartphone
As a owner of the previous version of Kyocera DuraForce I wanted to try this new DuraForce Pro. It's a little bit bigger and heavier due to bigger display (5'' instead of 4,5''). It runs Android 6.0 and has plenty of RAM (3GB). Internal memory of 32GB is ok and you can make it bigger with a SD card with up to 256GB memory, which is great for this type of phone. The back camera with it's wide lens variant of 135 degrees make it great for shooting videos, although 30fps at FullHD is not the best you can get in these days. It won't really replace your action cam, but it make come handy in some situations. I found the video stabilization quite useful. Pictures are of average or lower quality and you can't compare it with other phone brands like Samsung or Sony. This phone is mainly a hard working piece of equipment used in hard environment and outdoor situations where you expect your phone to stay alive even when others cover their phones with extra cases. The only problem with this phone comparing with its smaller predecessor is it's construction - it's back cover, which I found too much plastic and slippery without small bumps that would make the grip little bit better. Also the back cover makes sometimes creaky sounds upon touch which is quite weird.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Much smaller&lighter as I thought,other 5"-phones are larger; great display-resolution
It´s my second DuroaForce-KYOCERA, I like the easy navigation-menu, handling is easy and speedy ;) Though I am a heavy phone-user, I hoped the strong battery would last longer, I charge it every day (at average 50-60% charge left) which means it would last max. 2 days (but I want to make sure to have enough the following day). Very comfortable at hand (not too heavy, not too big either); love fingerprint-technology(!) 32GB memory ... well 11GB are already occupied with system files; still plenty left (21GB) though, plus huge microSD possible. Waterproofment ... not yet tested Very bright display, great colors! Good phone but cheap charger and tricky initial bootup
Phone is wonderful. Well made. Good software. Arrived battery dead. Charger included literally broke in my hand plugging it in. Supplied non factory charger also too low powered to charge the phone. Super cheap junk. Had some problems getting phone to boot. Discovered that sim must be installed first. Best phone for the price!
The phone looks and works like brand new. Great phone! Out of the 32GB memory 8 was used from a factory install leaving 16gb free. The phone runs fast and care free with the 3gb ram.
