  • Small, but worthwhile addition to REM scholarship

I wasn’t sure when I purchased this if it would be worth having alongside all the other REM books that I have. Though small in size and concise it it’s commentary, this is a quality series and contains numerous works I have not seen elsewhere. I thought that it might just contain the best known REM world, and hence not really show me anything new. Fortunately, this book has a lot of newly published photos and the commentary is first rate, with astute analysis of individual works and puts REM into the context of photographic and Modern Art practice as a whole.
