It is more of a pamphlet than a book, this takes hours to read rather than days. Having said that,it is direct and simple so it isn't 'padded out ' with waffle and sciene 'speak'. There are alot of pictures that show very clearly the dog 'signals' and behaviours. I found myself thinking 'I know that' signal and behaviour but this book brings a new context to it and how you can use mirroring behaviour to use it. I had the opportunity to use it when an unexpected meeting a very frightened dog presented itself hours after putting the book down and was delighted how well it worked and how the dog responded.
