Today, people have a variety of motivations for heading out on the "Way of St. James," but for most, the walk is still a form of pilgrimage. As Bruce explains, "We were pilgrims.... This book, then, is about not only the people, places, and things experienced over thirty days and 500 miles, but also Bruce's observations and reflections about the spiritual aspects of such a journey--about the path life has taken, the road not traveled, and the trail up ahead. Bruce H. Matson practices law in Richmond, Virginia where he serves as the Chief Legal Officer for the law firm of LeClairRyan. Bruce serves as a director of Apple Hospitality REIT (NYSE: APLE), the C. S. Lewis Institute, and the Virginia State Golf Association as well as on the community advisory boards for the VERITAS School and the Bon Secours Health System. Bruce is also the author of "The Race Before Us: A Journey of Running & Faith" (Mission Books, 2013).
