I grew up playing Call of Duty (and Medal of Honour may it rest in peace) which to show my age was always set in World War 2 in the beginning so it was great to see the title return to it's roots. Unlike other die-hard COD players I've not been as disappointed (or in total controller destroying rage) with the direction of the series into more futuristic realms (remember the reaction to Infinite Warfare which at the time the was one of the most down-voted video in youtube history) but I do prefer the World War 2 setting. The story line is pretty typical and just what you would expect of any World War 2 game (or film for that matter) produced in America. Although most of the time you can predict what is going to happen when it does it is still satisfying and well done. You end up caring about what happens to the main characters which always demonstrates good writing, acting and voicing as they are just pixels after all. Very nicely presented pixels but pixels none the less which leads me to... The graphics are amazing and the sound is equally outstanding and demonstrates just how good the XBOX One can be when used to it's fullest potential. Some of the guns do seem to be a little overpowered and some of their accompanying sound effects seem a great deal different from the same guns in other COD titles but this is a minor and almost negligible thing to mention (apart from when playing Multi-player and they shoot you with ease through hard brick walls with a pistol!) The Zombie levels are probably one of the best in the series. Really good fun with the usual blend of horror and darkly comic moments. Is it good value? Well that depends on what you paid and if you were happy to pay it. I do think games are way over-price anyway and if I can possibly wait long enough prefer to buy them second hand and at a lower price. If you got it at a price you were happy with you'll not find any complaint from the game.Read full review

I look forward to playing this game but was a bit disappointed buy the cheesy American war film style to the story. The terrible English and French accents didn't help at all either, with the millions they make from these games you think they could put a bit of effort in. I would have really liked to have spent some more time flying planes and driving tanks also.

A brilliant shoot 'em up, with different game modes, upgrades and special video snippets. Accurate war time effects and weapon detail. We never get bored of playing online, in teams or solo missions. Highly recommend this if you love a shooting game with a retro twist.

The graphics are amazing. The tribute to the camps at the end was very sad and moving. They will never be forgotten. This game is amazing. You can finally kill your own team without getting auto killed! Lol brilliant game
