Panasonic TZ90 - Well worth considering.
The Panasonic TZ90 is ideal as a travel compact but should not be compared to larger sensor DSLR's and CSC cameras that use much larger sensors. In bright conditions outdoors the camera behaves very well, focusing is pretty quick and results using low ISO's are very respectable. However, dark conditions make a huge difference and focusing is compromised, often bleeping to confirm focus when it hasn't. The camera has four buttons that can be configured as function buttons (Fn), it also has a further five that can be configured on the touch screen, very useful. The zoom range of 24mm - 720mm is very useful and results are quite acceptable at all focal lengths. Activate the digital zoom and this increases to a mind boggling 2880mm, I have not seriously tried this focal length. The viewfinder is a little 'tunnel visionish' but is useful when bright sunlight restricts use of the rear screen. Handling is reasonable with a small grip for the right hand and for it's size the camera is quite robust which helps handling. As a user of large DSLR's and smaller CSC's it is a complete contrast to these types of cameras, especially if, like me you have very large hands, however, handling is acceptable. Charging is done in camera which can be a problem if you need to use the camera so I purchased a spare battery and already owned a multi charger which can be configured to most batteries. In summation I would suggest that the TZ90 is a very reasonable camera so long as you accept the limitations of any compact with a small sensor. The tilting rear screen is also useful for waist level shooting and can be used for selfie's. All in all, not bad at all.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice little compact but no better than its predecessor
Nice camera which I bought to replace an earlier model which was lost and now found again. Disappointed that it did not come with a charger unit and the flap to cover the charging cable is poorly designed and awkward to insert the cable. Yet again this industry keeps changing the cable entry ports and both cameras cannot use the other's cables.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great travel size camera
There are times when your phone just isn’t enough for a good picture. The lumix tz90 pack a lot into a little chunky package. Ok so it’s a bit heavier than a phone but easy to put on a belt or in a jacket pocket. The zoom is great. Stabilisation works well too. It can go manual and your can faff about to your hearts content or, like me, you can rely on all the automatic bells and whistles. They just work. The screen is good and clear and touch control too. It can flip up which is handy for taking shots lower down or for those video blog shots as your on your travels The Wi-fi transfer can be a bit fun but I just stick the usb card jntk a usb c adaptor and , bang, the pics are on my iPad. Great little camera
I have upgraded from a TZ80 -this has extra features which will prove useful. Its a small camera with lots of useful features which are easy to use but if you prefer you can use it fully automatic and still get excellent results. The best camera I own!
The best camera in terms of size, usability and picture quality. The best for travel. The best zoom - spectacular.
