    Great TV, Great Picture

This is my second Panasonic TV, The main reason I bought this TV was purely for the picture quality, Yes it as great features too and looks great in place and is thin from the sides, the sound quality is great too and you can achieve good bass and no sound bar is needed..What I like the most is the many options you have setting up the picture to your own liking..beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You can put the TV feet in different positions too for your own liking..Great TV... I think I will now always buy Panasonic TV's purely because of the Picture quality

  • Easily as good as hoped for - maybe slightly better even

Last TV was a Panasonic but it while it was okay I did look at the usual suspects and nearly went for a Sony. I am sure the Sony would have been good but this is everything I could have hoped for. Source is a Virgin V6 and this has beautiful tonality. No eye-searing POP is a good thing. Contrast in shadows is awesome and all content looks good. Even some channels which can be a bot of a challenge (Horror channel for example) is nicely rendered. A very satisfying experience. Works okay in a very bright room. MUCH better than last TV in that respect. It is easy to use but menus are not easily understood (and i was an AV tech for a while) and the on-screen explanations can be plain 'funny' sometimes. Stand on the 50" is solid and has many options. Wifi connectivity is good and fast - I haven't bothered with ethernet - and YouTube and Netflix work well. I have Netflx on the V6 but the big Netflix button makes it easy to use. I don't watch football so can't comment on motion other than tennis looks just fine to me (your results may be different) as does rugby/athletics and everything else I have watched. Watching 4K YouTube is a stunning experience by the way. The usual downfall is the speakers on very flat TVs but I have been quite satisfied. It is hooked up to the HiFi system but with that off and using the TV audio I am quite happy with the sound even when used fairly loud. Love this TV and have no regrets.

  • PANASONIC HAVE DONE IT AGAIN

superb picture quality and movement of images once you venture away from the default settings. Lots of adjustments available to match the picture to your choice. As always, the sound is more than adequate for such a slim television. Only criticism is that they have done away with the old fashioned Scart connection so you cannot connect older devices using an Rgb video output. Component input available but would have to buy conversion kits to optimise the vibrant pictures you could have got from your old Vcr had even one Scart connection been included. Ending on a positive, the 3 hdmi inputs are just the right amount to connect the more modern devices.

  • Buy one as new for around 400 if you can.

First of all there may be no scart connection but I got my PS2 to work by plugging the video leads in without the scart at the back. What supprised me most was how good the YOUTUBE video pictures were in terms of picture quality. The picture on TV shows is very powerfull on colour etc if you set it to the top setting and then adjust the colour etc settings down a bit. I got mine in new condition for about 390 but they can cost 560 new. Bargain. I am now going to watch the world cup start on it, full of extra colour.

  • Good TV.

For the price you can't fault it. Great to hang on the wall, however it is lacking Bluetooth connection that's why 4 stars.

  • Stylish TV with beautiful picture - excellent value for money.

Excellent value for money (bought refurbished £350). I have been using it for over 2 weeks. Easy setup, clear and quick menus. Beautiful MVA picture (compared to a VA panel still great viewing angles). I would recommend looking up a calibration online, though preset settings get close (Normal and True Cinema are my preferred). Amazing colours. 4K great, watched the WC final in UHD on BBC, did not notice any latency, motion blur or lags. Can't comment on sound, using a soundbar. Great that is has 4 different options to set up the stand. TV looks good with stylish, slick, metal grey design. Watching content from USB drive works as expected (plug and play). Negatives: built-in media player needs updating (not all video formats are supported, though most common ones are like mp4, mkv), no flashy remote (one old school comes with TV), no extras that can be found in similar TVs currently in the market (artificial intelligence, motion control, etc.). For me these are not real negatives especially for this price (up until around £500 as new still excellent buy). I'd recommend reading a few reviews and tests before buying and check it in store if you can.

  • Why pay full price for a great TV

Great TV, the only thing was when I first switched it on (factory setting), the picture quality didn't seem as good as my old Panasonic TV that I was re-placing. After seaching the internet found a setting video on youtube which once applied improved the picture quality that now surpasses my old TV. The setting switches off all the so call clever processing options but don't worry it does improve the picture.

  • Excellent tv

My bargain purchase of the year, this tv is super sharp with great picture quality even on non hd terrestrial channels. Really shows itself off when gaming or watching 4K content. Not had the chance to watch actual 4K blu rays yet as I don’t have a player but blu rays upscaled to 4K on PS4 pro look excellent. Sound is good in a small to medium lounge but if it’s going in a large room I’d suggest a sound bar or home theatre system
