I love this book. Possibly one of the best and interesting books I have ever read. I recommend it to anyone interested in nature. An eye opener about the social interaction not only of cows but also chickens and other farm animals. Truly wonderful!!!

Nice little quick read. Not sure it lives up to the hype but quite interesting insight into the mind of Cows. Although as a country girl it hasn't made me trust a heard of cows when I come across them on walks. Have never forgotten diving out of way of a stampeding heard whilst chestnutting as a child. Worth a read and clearly writer loves her animals and treats them with the respect they deserve.

Absolutely not what I expected! As a dairy farmer with a love of cows I thought I’d love this book! 1st chapter slates modern dairy farmers..cruelty..poor welfare...steals babies all the usual farmer bashing comments! She clearly loves her animals but not for me! Vegans will love it though! Also some of the stories are a bit far fetched!

This is an utterly charming and surprising book. As Clare Balding says by way of endorsement I never realised cows were so interesting and will now stop and say hello every time I pass a field of them. The writing is very strong and by turns both witty and sad. Highly recommended.
