Decent phone but terrible battery.
Good handset in terms of build quality, moving from android it takes some getting used to but syncs up nicely with other apple products. Switched due to getting a new Mac to replace old PC and connectivity is excellent across this and all the family devices. Big criticism is that the battery lasts about half a day with only light to moderate use, my Samsung would have ploughed through a day easily and it was a bigger screen / more powerful. Better than expected
I am with apple since the Iphone 3 come out and was always happy with all models. The most recent model I changed to Iphone X was the Iphone 7. I did not regret to change even if I was in doubt how the facial recognition works. It works perfectly fine, very quick and on top of the speed it works I can open my device even if my fingers are wet. That was an issue with the previous models but this worked out perfectly on the X. I found the software based “home button” very efficent as well. The only downside is the missing battery percentage indicator on the top right corner but I got used to it quickly.
