Original, intelligent, funny - brilliant
The Slow Horses series modern spy novels are brilliant - you don't have to be into the spy genre to enjoy this (sadly) realistic view of corruption at government level. The series of novels has well drawn, 3 dimensional characters. The humour is superb and 'political correctness' gets a rightful kick in the butt. Try the TV series first, starring Gary Oldman at his absolute best . Best of the series, so far.
Enjoyed the first three of the Slough House series but needed a break from them, so picked this up 6 months after the last one. Same characters, plus a couple of new faces, very well draw! The wit in this book is just perfect. Highly recommend Spook Street whether you’re a fan of spy novels or not.
